Kamaru Usman ensures his match against Colby Covington will be extremely worth watching

The long-awaited title match of the Welterweight weight class has received a lot of determination from defending champion Kamaru Usman.

After much negotiation, the final match between UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and challenger Colby Covington will take place at UFC 245 on December 14th. The long-awaited belt battle between the two boxers has 'cleaned' the entire Welterweight weight class.

Unlike previous title matches, this is the first time Colby Covington has participated in an official title match. What the American puncher should have enjoyed when Tyron Woodley was the champion and Covington was the temporary holder, however, the UFC decided to leave Colby out to give the young punch to Darren Till at UFC 228.

After the happenings at Welterweight later, Covington and Usman continued to prove themselves the last two names worthy. Therefore, defending champion Kamaru Usman believes that the main match of UFC 245 will be extremely worth watching.

“Let's be honest with each other that this match is really good. A real big fight, not just two fighters or what they stand for. I'm an immigrant, which Covington always emphasizes, this is a personal story behind that”.

“If he is really tough, it might be 25 minutes like I did to the last guy (Tyron Woodley). But I don't think so, he might play a more devoted game with the goal of getting his opponent to close. As for the audience, maybe they will be bored but equally disappointed if it is a match that is not gored enough”- Kamaru Usman said.

Taking place on December 14th at the T-Moble Arena, Las Vegas, USA, UFC 245 is the last major UFC event of the year. The UFC Welterweight game determines the prospects of this weight class in 2020 like all other weight classes at UFC.
