Eastbourne championship result: Karolina Pliskova won the title for the second time

World No. 3 player Karolina Pliskova surpassed the reigning Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber 6-1 6-4 to win the 2nd Eastbourne title in his career.

Before the 2019 Eastbourne finals, Angelique Kerber has an advantage of leading 7-4 against Czech players. But in the latest close encounter in Stuttgart this year last April in the Fed Cup framework, Karolina Pliskova was the winner.

Coming to the 12th encounter at the 2019 Eastbourne finals, the Zcech player continues to show excellent playing skills. Karolina Pliskova entered the fast-paced game with a break of 2 breaks in only the first 4 games of set 1.

After that, Angelique Kerber reclaimed a break in the 5th game but that's all the German player can do in this set. Because in the next 2 games, Karolina Pliskova did not give Angelique Kerber any chance to turn the tide and put down 6-1 in the first set after only 31 minutes of playing.

Going to set 2, Karolina Pliskova continues to have a big advantage when breaking the opening game right away. The later games that the two sides compete in the game are very attractive but no one can break the opponent's game of delivery. Just like that, Karolina Pliskova won the match 6-4 in this set.

In the end, Karolina Pliskova defeated Angelique Kerber in the 2019 Eastbourne women's singles final with the score 6-1 6-4, after 1 hour and 13 minutes of competition.

This victory gave Karolina Pliskova the second Eastbourne title in her career. This helps Czech players to be more confident to "fight" in Wimbledon 2019 here.  In the grassy Grand Slam tournament, Karolina Pliskova is ranked No. 3 and her first opponent is Lin Zhu (China).

In the 2019 Eastbourne finals, men's singles, Taylor Fritz (21) won his first ATP title with a 6-3 6-4 victory over fellow countryman Sam Querrey.
