BREAKING: Will Roger Federer withdraw from the match against Novak Djokovic?

In the match against Tennys Sandgren at the quarter-finals, Roger Federer met some problems with his groin pain.

Unlike other tennis players, who underwent a practice session before competing at the 2020 Australian Open, Roger Federer decided to skip it ahead of the tournament. However, having more resting time did not help him avoid suffering from various injuries.

At the Australian Open, Federer played two 5-set matches against John Millman and Tennys Sandgren, and he almost lost both games before winning at the deciding moments.

Moreover, in the quarter-final match against Sandgren, he had some troubles that made him use medical treatment during the game.

It was a match that Roger Federer saved seven match-points from the American tennis player in the fourth set. After the match ended, Federer said that he had struggled with his groin pain, as a result, he could not play as he wanted, making constant mistakes.

However, Novak Djokovic is not like Millman or Sandgren, he competed at the 2020 Australian Open as the defending champion of the tournament.

If Federer goes on making mistakes as he did in the previous matches, he has no chance to beat Djokovic in the semi-final match.

Moreover, before thinking about the opponent, Federer should take care of himself. Risking his body to play against Djokovic may cost Federer the remaining time of the 2020 season.
