Federer: "I'm like a pregnant woman"

Roger Federer does not have much time to play as a professional tennis player. However, he does not need a retirement plan.

"At the moment, I feel like a pregnant woman", said Federer. "You count the days until the time comes, sooner or later. It is just a matter of time. However, my love for tennis does not change".

"I will continue playing tennis until I cannot do it, so I do not need any retirement plan". In 2019, Federer participated in 15 competitions, winning four of them. He ended the season with the third position in the ATP World Tour ranking.

At 38, Federer is still able to beat opponents who were born when he started his career. Even if he retires his singles' career, he can compete at doubles' competitions. Unlike other tennis players, Federer can play well no matter who is his companion.

As a result, in the future, he can conquer Grand Slam doubles' event as Navratilova did before. Moreover, Federer always knows how to impress people thinking his era is over.

When Federer suffered from a knee injury in 2016, many pundits said it was the time for him to announce his retirement. They assumed that Federer did not have any chance to become the Grand Slam champion again, but he did not think so.

Federer came back impressively in 2017 with the double titles namely Australian Open and Wimbledon.
