2019 Citi Open: Nick Kyrgios won the title after overcoming Daniil Medvedev

Defeated Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (6), 7-6 (4), the 24-year-old Nick Kyrgios won the second ATP title this season, after Acapulco in March.

The Russian player lost only one serve point before the two pulled into a tie-break series, where Medvedev had a 5-4 advantage. However, Nick Kyrgios proved more brave when rescuing the set-point confrontation, before closing the first set victory.

After the opening set, the Australian player needed medical attention due to a muscle strain problem. In the second set, Kyrgios tried but failed to break any of the opponent's game of delivery and the second players brought each other to tie-break. Once again, knowing how to overcome at a critical moment brought the victory to Kyrgios.

After six matches in Washington, DC, Australia, Australia lost 110 ace, including 18 ace in the final to win against Daniil Medvedev. Kyrgios won the 6th ATP title in his career, including 3 championships at the ATP 500.

Kyrgios will receive $ 365,390 in bonuses and 500 ATP points, while Medvedev has $ 183,780 and 300 accumulated points respectively.
