Vietnam's swimming prodigy Nguyen Huy Hoang won the first ticket to the 2020 Olympic Games

The swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang won the A Olympic standard, thereby securing a ticket to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

This morning, July 23th, Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Huy Hoang entered the competition for qualifying 800 meters of free swimming in the World Championship in Korea.

After 16 rounds, Huy Hoang achieved the goal with 7 minutes 54 seconds 31, reached A Olympic standard and became the first Vietnamese athlete to win the Olympic Tokyo 2020 ticket.

At the first 400 meters, Huy Hoang was ranked 21st but the remaining distance, the Quang Binh athlete tried his best and broke up to the 15th position. This result did not help Huy Hoang to be in the final swim but enough Let him win tickets to the Summer Olympics. Huy Hoang is the 10th place (enough to enter the finals) 3 seconds 81.

In the World Championship in Korea, Huy Hoang registered 3 competitions. Because of the 200-meter butterfly swim content, the 800-meter freestyle competition was forced by the young aquarist to choose one. Huy Hoang will compete for the final content of 1500 meters to swim freely on the morning of July 27th. The A Olympic standard is 15 minutes 00 seconds 99. Huy Hoang's achievement in Asia 2018 is 15 minutes 01 seconds 63.

Huy Hoang was born on July 10th, 2000 in Tuyen Hoa, Quang Binh. He won the League in 16 years at 1500 meters freestyle. Thanks to this achievement, he won the 2017 SEA Games gold medal and silver medal Asia 2018.
