Israel Adesanya vs Robert Whittaker scheduled in Australia, Jon Jones may involve

The Nigerian MMA star Israel Adesanya recently confirmed that the match between him against UFC champion Robert Whittaker will take place in Australia.

One of the notable confrontations that took place later this year was the battle between Israel Adesanya vs Robert Whittaker. UFC champion Robert Whittaker has not played a match since June 2018. Over the past time, Whittaker has treated his hernia injury. For that reason, Israel Adesanya was appointed to compete with Kelvin Gastelum for temporary medals and the Nigerian boxer was the winner.

The match between Adesanya and Robert Whittaker will take place at the UFC 243 event on October 6th. At first the location was rumored to be in Las Vegas, but recently Adesanya has stated that the match will not take place in the US. Adesanya said: "It's definitely not in the US, it's in Australia".

Currently, the specific location has not been decided yet, Melbourne and Sydney are capable of organizing this match. Israel Adesanya is Nigerian but grew up in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Robert Whittaker was born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia. Because of that, the match if taking place in Australia will bring a very special meaning to both.

Although not yet beaten with Whittaker, Adesanya intended to take the weight class to challenge even Jon Jones. Previously, these two punchers had spoken words together and Adesanya showed no sign of protest when Jon Jones won at UFC 239 recently.

Adesanya said: "I will fight Jon Jones at the Raiders stadium in Las Vegas. When? Four more matches, I will kill the current weight and go to the new weight to find him".
