Manchester United beat Inter Milan at the 2019 ICC

17-year-old striker Mason Greenwood scored the only goal, helping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team win 1-0 against Inter Milan on July 20th.

This is Manchester United's third consecutive win this summer, after they beat Perth Glory 2-0 and beat Leeds 4-0. For Greenwood, the striker made the second match in a row, but this time, his goal was more important.

Entering the excitement, Manchester United made it difficult for Inter to raise the formation and kick pressing. The first dangerous situation was Luke Shaw's long-range shot. Solskjaer continued to let two new players Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James play the main and the two players showed that they are taking steps to integrate well. The speed of both matches the counter-play that Solskjaer wants students to use.

In attack, Anthony Martial kicked and Marcus Rashford kicked the left wing. Inter's five-man midfielder did a good job of separating Manchester United midfielders and strikers, making the English team struggling to get the ball into the box and using shots from outside the box. However, Manchester United's young players are showing confidence.

Martial intimidates Inter with a long-range shot but the ball hits the spot of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. Rashford slipped the ball at close range after Shaw's cross passed the opponent's defense. Inter responded with a pinch, hitting the head with Danilo D'Ambrosio's head. Daniels James has a chance at the end of the first half but is not strong enough to take advantage.

Similar to the previous two friendlies, Solskjaer replaced the entire squad in the second half to give an opportunity for all players he has. Captain Nemanja Matic headed the post with a corner from Rashford's corner. Andreas Pereira and Tahith Chong took turns demanding penalties after the ball they thought they were guilty of.

More than 10 minutes after entering the field, Greenwood once again scored with Solskjaer with a neat handling, knocking an Inter defender and decisively finishing to bring home the opener. Inter defense has been disturbed in this situation after Handanovic had to fly to stop Ashley Young's free kick.

Inter's efforts for the rest of the time did not help them discuss the score. This caused Antonio Conte to fail in the first match to lead Inter Milan. Another aspect that made this match a concern was Inter's attempt to sign Romelu Lukaku. However, the audience in Singapore did not see the Belgian striker coming off the pitch because he was injured.
