Vietnam U22 vs China U22 of Guus Hiddink to be scheduled in September

Coach Park Hang-seo and his Vietnam U22 team will have a long-awaited confrontation with Guus Hiddink's China U22 in September.

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) confirmed that Vietnam U22 will have a friendly match with China on September 8 on visitor land. This is the only international friendly match of Vietnam U22 in the September rally.

Chinese U22 is currently led by legendary coach Guus Hiddink. At the U23 Asian qualifier 2020, Mr. Hiddink helped China overcome Malaysia, Laos and the Philippines to win the top and the winning tickets to the U23 Asian finals in Thailand.

Hiddink is a former Korean head coach, and Park Hang-seo is an assistant at the 2002 World Cup. Together, they brought Korea to the World Cup semi-finals - the greatest victory in Asian football history.

Due to the September Vietnam U22 rally coinciding with the opening round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Park Hang Seo will not be able to directly meet his big friend, former colleague Hiddink. However, due to the personnel and training plans, U22's competition in Vietnam still has to go through teacher Park, so the two people will still be indirectly confronted.

From now to September, Vietnam U22 will have 5 concentration sessions. Phase 1 took place from July 8th to July 11th at the PVF Young Training Center. On July 10th, Vietnam U22 will have a friendly match with U18 country.

By October, Vietnam U22 will prepare for SEA Games. The team will have 45 days of preparation, an international friendly match, 2 matches in the BTV Cup before heading to the Philippines for SEA Games from November 25th to December 9th.

After SEA Games, Vietnam U23 will have a Korean training before returning home and kicking two more international friendly matches. From January 8 to January 27th, 2020, the team will attend the Asian U23 finals in Thailand and also the Olympic qualifier 2020.
