Hong Kong's most famous team comes to Vietnam to play friendly matches

In preparation for the new season, the Hong Kong Kitchee team will travel to Vietnam to attend a short tour in mid-August.

Kitchee is the richest traditional club of Hong Kong football. In the past, this team has been crowned seven times in the league and is currently the reigning champion of the domestic league.

In order to better prepare for the 2019-2020 season, Kitchee's leadership recently announced the club's summer tour schedule. Notably, the team from Hong Kong will come to Vietnam at  mid-August. Here, the army of coach Blaz Sliskovic will confront Viettel FC and Vietnam U22. The two matches will take place on August 13th and 15th respectively.

Before arriving in S-shaped land, Kitchee FC will go to Korea to play two friendly matches with Busan Transportation Corporation and 2009 AFC Champions League champion, Pohang Steelers on July 16th and 18th. In the week, they will return to Hong Kong to welcome the Premier League champions, Manchester City at Mong Kok home.

Kitchee FC is the famous team of Hong Kong football. They had many years of conquest in the C1 and C2 Asian tournaments. Previously, representatives of Hong Kong also had many encounters with Vietnamese teams in the continental arena. The last time Kitchee FC faced a representative of V.League two years ago, at that time they were suffocating to defeat the Hanoi Football Club with the score 3-2 after 120 minutes of competition, thereby winning the right to play in the 2017 AFC Champions League play-off round.

Currently, Kitchee owns 11 foreign soldiers and four naturalized players in the squad. In the past, this team has also successfully recruited the 2010 FIFA World Cup golden ball, Diego Forlan in 2018.
