Following CSL's fear of coronavirus, now V-League postponed indefinitely

The outbreak of coronavirus is becoming more and more serious, and it is affecting many sports events in Asia.

Recently, the CFA officially announced all domestic football matches (including leagues, CFA Cup, Super Cup, etc) are postponed. When football matches resume will depend on the update of coronavirus control, as claimed in the statement. China Super League was initially planned to kick off on February 22nd.

And now, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has just announced that the initial plan for the new season has been postponed.

The Super Cup match between the V.League champion Ha Noi FC and the runner-up Ho Chi Minh FC was scheduled to take place in Thong Nhat Stadium on February 8th is the first to be announced the delay.

One day later marks the kick-off of the National Cup. The V-League 2 would have started on February 29th and the V-League 1 on February 21st.

But now, the VFF had to act upon the serious situation of the coronavirus. The new date for the Super Cup would be February 29th or March 1st, depending on the situation. For V-League 1, it will be March 7th and a week later for V-League 2. The National Cup will be the latest to take place, on April 3rd.
