Vietnam vs Kyrgyzstan match can be cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak

Because of the fact that there are some new patients infected with coronavirus in Vietnam, the match between Golden Stars and the Kyrgyzstan team may be cancelled.

Originally, Vietnam considered resuming normally all activities related to football, starting by organizing matches in the 2020 V-League 1 behind closed doors. However, things changed when there are some new patients infected with coronavirus in Vietnam.

As a result, one official of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that they might cancel the friendly match between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan, depending on the situation related to the coronavirus outbreak in the following days.

Before that, the Iraq team decided not to travel to Vietnam to play the exhibition match after considering the risks of the infection. According to Le Hoai Anh, General Secretary of VFF, Vietnam accepted the withdrawal of the Iraq team.

As a result, VFF had to reschedule the 2020 fixture, which made Park Hang Seo manage to find another team to play with before competing at the qualification round of the 2022 World Cup.

In the second preliminary round, the Vietnam team is dominating Group G with 11 points gained in 5 matches. Before Iraq, Panama also canceled a friendly match with Thailand due to considering the risk of the infection of coronavirus.

Initially, Panama accepted Thailand's offer to play an exhibition match in Songkhla on 30 March, coming after the match between War Elephants and Indonesia in the second preliminary round of the World Cup qualification.
