Bad news for Magical Park: Hanoi FC's top defender can be sidelined for MONTHS

Hanoi FC defender Do Duy Manh suffered from an injury in the Vietnamese Super Cup match, which could be very serious.

Do Duy Manh was included in the starting line up of Hanoi FC to face Ho Chi Minh City FC in the 2020 Vietnamese Super Cup, however, he only had a few minutes to play.

After a collision with Guinea-Bissauan striker Amido Balde, he collapsed before being substituted at the early time of the match. Speaking about Do Duy Manh's injury, Hanoi FC head coach Chu Dinh Nghiem said it was very serious.

However, it took more time to inspect his wound before making the final decision. According to coach Chu Dinh Nghiem's prediction, Do Duy Manh can be sidelined at least for months to fully recover.

If it is true, he cannot play for the Vietnam national football team in the following matches of the 2022 World Cup qualification round. At the moment, coach Park Hang Seo is facing some problems with the defensive line.

Besides Do Duy Manh's injury, his fellow teammate Tran Dinh Trong is also finding it hard to play in a full match. As a result, the Korean coach must find other players as possible replacements, which can affect the performance of the Vietnam team.

Although the Golden Stars is leading Group G at the second qualification, they have to fight at their best to compete against other rivals namely Malaysia, Thailand, and UAE to qualify for the final round.
