Former center-back Lee Jung Soo has officially joined the Ho Chi Minh City FC in the new season.

On the Facebook fan page, the Ho Chi Minh City FC posts the status line and a photo announcing a new contract. The deal is former South Korean defender Lee Jung Soo, who attended the 2010 FIFA World Cup and scored two goals against Nigeria and Greece.

Before joining V-League, Lee Jung Soo had one year playing for Charlotte Independence. He will join the coaching team as an assistant of head coach Chung Hae Soung.

Ho Chi Minh City FC has signed quality players as well as staff in recent times. In addition to the contracts with goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, Vo Huy Toan, Le Van Son and Le Duc Luong, Chung Hae Soung's team has recently brought in Spanish fitness coach Javier Lobo.

Next season, Ho Chi Minh City FC will participate in many tournaments, including the V-League, the National Cup and the preliminary round of AFC Champions League. If Ho Chi Minh City FC cannot overcome the play-off round, this team will play in the AFC Cup 2020.
