Former player under Park Hang Seo's guidance appointed head coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai

According to Naver Sports, Hoang Anh Gia Lai football club just appointed another former South Korean player as the first-team coach.

The new first-team coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai is Kim Tae Min, a former football player who played more than 200 games in K-League. He used to play for numerous South Korean clubs namely Busan I-Park, Jeju United, Gwangju, and Gangwon.

Besides that, he also played in Chinese club Chongqing FC and Thai club Police United in his late-career. Interestingly, Kim Tae Min worked with coach Park Hang Seo when he was a part of the South Korea U23 team.

However, he was not named into the final squad playing at the 2002 Asian Cup. After retiring, Kim Tae Min began his coaching career at the Kim Hee Tae Football Center. He also served as the head coach of Ildong High School football team.

In 2019, he was an assistant working with Ho Chi Minh City football club manager Chung Hae Song. Mr. Chung said that he worked very hard to help the team finish the 2019 V-League season as the runners-up. It is the highest achievement the club has gained in its history.

Speaking about Kim Tae Min, an official of Hoang Anh Gia Lai said: "He is a coach who understands well the football culture and environment in many countries such as Vietnam, South Korea, China, Thailand, and Hong Kong".

"Moreover, we appreciate his leading skills when he worked at Ho Chi Minh City football club last season".
