Thai national striker Miranda Nild joined Gintra Universitetas in Lithuania, where she could become the first Thai player to appear in UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The 22-year-old Thai player currently plays for California Golden Bears in the US university system. She is also a part of Thai football, who attended the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.

Known as Suchawadee Nildhamrong, Miranda Nild joined Gintra Universitetas, the defending champion in the Lithuanian national league and will attend the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifier. Her new club is among 40 competing teams for the last 32 places in the continental tournament.

Gintra is part of a table consisting of Vllaznia of Albania, Wexford Youths of the Republic of Ireland and Birkirkara of Malta. The top team will advance to the knockout stages, where they will face teams like Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, ​​Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

Miranda was born in the US with her Thai father and scored 12 goals for the Thai national team. She has also played in the national team at the 2018 Asian Women's Football Championship and the 2018 Southeast Asian Women's Championship.
