Muangthong United fined for inappropriate banner

Not only the club is struggling to find its way back on top, Muangthong United also have to deal with consequences from rebel actions at the stands.

The club has been fined 50.000 Baht ($1.500) for an abusive banner showing in their match against Bangkok United. The homestand showed a banner stating "F**k VAR", mainly due to the recent decisions that were not in favor of the home team since the start of the season.

The match ended as a loss for Muangthong United. The away side's goals were scored by Anon Amornlerdsak and Thossawat Limwannasathian, while the only goal from Muangthong United is scored as an own goal from Everton.

Muangthong United is now struggling to find their best form ever since the start of the season. They lost the first 2 matches at Thai League 1, but since the introduction of the substituted goalkeeper Somporn Yos, they kept 2 clean sheets, as well as 2 wins against Chonburi and Rayong.
