North Korean Ronaldo leaves Juventus after 4 months

Just 4 months after joining Italian club Juventus, midfielder Han Kwang Song left for Qatari team Al-Duhail.

Called as North Korean Ronaldo, Han Kwang Song had played football in Italy for 3 years before leaving. Starting a career as a player of the Cagliari youth team, he played 5 games for the Italian club in the 2016/17 season, scoring 1 goal.

After that, he moved to Perugia on loan to look for more chances to play in the starting lineup. In 2019 summer, Han Kwang Song joined Juventus, playing for Juventus U23 team in Serie C.

However, he failed to compete for being named in the senior team, which made him decide to move the second time in one year. According to a source close to Juventus officials, the Italian club bought Han Kwang Song from Cagliari for 5 million euros before selling him to Al-Duhail.

Consequently, it seemed that the Qatari side spent more than 6 million euros to acquire him. Being a member of Al-Duhail, Han Kwang Song will be guided by head coach Rui Faria, the former assistant manager of Jose Mourinho.

The Qatari club believed that with the appearance of North Korean Ronaldo in the team, they can conquer Qatar Stars League title as well as AFC Champions League next season.

Initially, Han Kwang Song was ready to play for North Korea U23 team at the 2020 AFC U23 Championship. However, he was not allowed to play by Juventus officials.
