Thailand U22 waits for reinforcements from the national team to conquer the SEA Games gold medal

With the addition of 4 young stars playing in the national team, Thailand U22 is very determined to win gold men's football at the 30th SEA Games.

Specifically, 4 names are playing very impressive in both the Thailand national team and the club including Ekanit Panya, Supachai Jaided, Supachok and Suphanat. They are being considered to be called for additional Thailand U22 to attend the upcoming SEA Games 30. This is a step to show determination to win gold medals in men's football, under the threat of Vietnam U22 and host Philippines.

However, the additional call of these four players must still be approved by coach Akira Nishino. Men's SEA Games 30 men's football will start taking place on November 25th, but on November 19th, Thailand will have a trip to My Dinh Stadium of Vietnam. The 6-day period is too short for the four players to get acquainted with teammates in Thailand U22.

Talking to Siamsport, a member of the Thai Football Federation said: "At the next SEA Games, we hope to get the service of the players who are playing for the national team such as Ekanit Panya, Supachai Jaided, Supachok and Suphanat. However, it all depends on coach Akira Nishino".

"Thailand will have a match against Vietnam on November 19. While SEA Games will start 6 days later (November 25th), we are afraid that it is too little time for them. We will have a meeting to discuss this, before announcing the list of 20 players who will be going to SEA Games 30th in the Philippines".

Earlier, Thailand U22 had the first focus to prepare for the SEA Games 30th under the guidance of coach Issara Sritaro. They played two friendly matches with clubs in the Thai League. The result was a 3-1 victory over Army United and a 1-1 draw with Kasetsart FC.

It is expected that Thailand U22 will continue to focus immediately after Thai League 1 ends on October 26th, at the same time as Thailand national football team. Coach Akira Nishino will assign the two assistants Anurak Srikerd and Thanachot Sripan to supervise the young players directly, while he will be on duty with the national team.

At the upcoming SEA Games 30th, Thailand will be in the death group along with Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Laos and Singapore.
