Singapore U22 has officially closed the list of 20 players participating in men's football campaign in the Philippines.

Singapore U22 coach Fandi Ahmad has officially closed the list of 20 players participating in the 30th SEA Games men's football by choosing Farris Ramli as the U22+2 player.

In the 2019 season, the striker born in 1992 played in the domestic league in a Hougang United shirt. He played a total of 27 matches in all competitions, scoring 17 goals. Ramli's impressive form has also earned him the title of the best Singaporean player of the season.

Faris Ramli also spent nearly 9 years with the Singapore national team, playing a total of 56 times and scoring 9 goals. With his huge experience, the 27-year-old striker is expected to help the Singaporean team to make a surprise at the upcoming SEA Games 30th.

Besides Faris Ramli, Warriors defender Tajeli Salamat is the remaining over-age player selected by coach Fandi Ahmad.

At SEA Games 30th, Singapore U22 is in Group B with U22 Brunei, Laos, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Coach Fandi Ahmad admits this is a difficult group, so his players need to make more efforts if they want to go deep in the tournament.

“This is a very difficult group, but we are confident about our players' ability. We know they are warriors. They all want to play their best on the pitch because of the colors of the shirt”, said coach Fandi Ahmad.
