Media of Thailand revealed midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai has refused to go to Thai League to play.

At the press conference before the match against Thailand in the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, when being asked about Nguyen Quang Hai's level, coach Park Hang Seo confirmed that the player is not inferior to Chanathip Songkrasin. At the same time, he revealed that the Hanoi midfielder received an invitation from a club in La Liga.

Recently, Ball Thai posted information that Nguyen Quang Hai has no intention of moving to the Thai League to play football in the future. The article said: "After the press conference that day, the Thai reporters interviewed the Hanoi club player if he wanted to move to the Thai League to play or not. Then Quang Hai said no without thinking too much".

"Some rumors say Celta Vigo is interested in the 22-year-old midfielder, but no information from Spain confirmed this. Earlier, there were rumors that Deportivo Alaves invited Quang Hai to La Liga to train for 10 days. However, this player did not attend because of concerns about injury", Ball Thai added.

The Thai newspaper also has information on Quang Hai's individual titles in club colors and team levels. "Quang Hai was the best player of Vietnam U17 in 2014, Vietnam U19 in 2016, V.League in 2017 and 2018 seasons, and also received the title of the best AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 player", the newspaper said.

Quang Hai currently joins Vietnam U22 to participate in the 30th SEA Games. He is trusted by Coach Park Hang Seo to hand over the captain armband. Previously, the midfielder in 1997 and his national team-mates spent two matches with the UAE and Thailand in the second World Cup qualifying campaign in 2022, with a win (1-0 vs UAE) and a draw (0-0 vs Thailand).
