Indonesian fans: 'We have nothing to fear Thailand and Vietnam in Group B'

Indonesian fans are optimistic about their team ahead of the upcoming Sea Games 30th in the Philippines.

In preparation for the 30th SEA Games, Indonesia U22 had a friendly match with a very strong opponent, Iran U22 on the evening of November 16th.

Indra Sjafri's team unexpectedly defeated the opponent with a score of 2-1. Two goals from U22 Indonesia were scored by Rafli Mursalim (31') and Egy Maulana Vikri (83'). The goal of Iran U22 belonged to Reza from the 11m spot.

This victory gives Indonesian fans a little peace of mind about their team ahead of the SEA Games 30th, especially when they must be in 'death' Group B with two very strong teams like Thailand U22, Singapore U22, and Vietnam U22.

A fan named Fajar is confident: "Thailand and Vietnam are strong football teams. However, Indonesia has carefully prepared, so there is nothing to be afraid of".

Meanwhile, another Indonesia fan Usman commented: "Our youth team has more desire to fight than the national team. We can achieve the gold medal in this campaign".

This is also the last friendly match of Indonesia U22 before leaving for the Philippines to attend the 30th SEA Games.

Furthermore, in order to strengthen the U22 team, coach Indra Sjafri called up Evan Dimas and Zulfiandi as two players over 22 years. Both of them are midfielders who regularly play for the senior team, especially Evan Dimas is called "Iniesta of Indonesia" because of his qualities.
