Filipino hotel accuses Cambodian players: They wanted to sleep on the floor, then said our preparation is poor

Speaking about the poor facilities prepared for the 30th SEA Games, Philippines' officials and volunteers said they were doing their best. However, their efforts were eclipsed by some issues.

In recent days, the host nation of the 30th SEA Games was harshly criticized because of offering poor living and training conditions to players.

Many football teams took half a day at the airport since the bus serving them forgot to make it in time. The designated training ground was too far away from the accommodation, so many teams had to train right outside the hotel.

In the case of Cambodian players, they were hungry because of the lack of food and some players slept on the floor after the hotel could not arrange enough room for them.

Speaking about those problems, the Philippines said they know what teams feel about the condition. They apologized for it, then promised to improve the quality of preparation in the following days of SEA Games.

Nearly 20 new buses were launched to attend the sports team, moreover, many hotels extended their menu to serve the food that is familiar to foreign players.

However, there are a few people said that many football players acted to be victims to have more unreasonable demands.

About the story of Cambodian U22, an employee of the hotel where they stay said this place was chosen by many football teams for the 30th SEA Games.

As a result, they could not find more rooms to serve all players, which made them stay three or four people in one room instead of two. To solve that problem, hotel employees offered players to use the chairs to sleep on it, but it was refused.

"They told us that they wanted to lie on the floor to sleep, then complained about the hotel service. It is unbelievable", he said.
