Cristiano Ronaldo & Juventus found unguilty after Incheon Court

The Incheon Court (South Korea) has issued a verdict about an accusation of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo of cheating in a friendly match in Seoul last year.

In July 2019, Cristiano Ronaldo sat on the bench in a 3-3 draw between Juventus and the K-League All Star team at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

This made the 65,000 spectators crowd in the stands extremely angry, as they jostled to buy tickets for between 30,000 won (25 USD) to 400,000 won, to see Cristiano Ronaldo play the match.

After that match, two fans sued The Fasta Company for organizing the match under accusations of false advertising. Recently, the court in Incheon asked the organization of the friendly match between Juventus and the K-League star team to pay 371,000 won for 2 fans.

"Of which, 70,000 won for 2 tickets, 300,000 won for mental injury and 1,000 won for commissions", lawyer Kim Min-ki of the two fans said.

However, the court did not punish Ronaldo or Juventus club about "cheating" fans.

The frustration of Korean fans also aims toward Ronaldo. Accordingly, he was criticized for being aware of his own benefits but not taking the promised action.

"If he (Ronaldo) plays in just 10 minutes, everyone will be happy to return home", a Korean fan commented on the Naver website.
