Permanent move to Japan, Theerathon will break the transfer record?

Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Yokohama F Marinos said that Theerathon Bunmathan was one of the vital players in the club, and he wanted the Thai international footballer to stay.

In 2019, Postecoglou sought a left-back for Yokohama F Marinos, who could help him achieve more success than the first season. Instead of choosing European, South American, or Japanese players, he put his faith in Theerathon Bunmathan.

In 2018, Theerathon played for Vissel Kobe on loan from Thai club Muangthong United, and his form was relatively stable. But Muangthong did not want to sell their brightest star, so the only choice for Marinos was to arrange another loan deal.

In the second season in Japan, Theerathon proved why he is considered one of the best left-backs in Asia at the moment. He played 25 games for Marinos in J League, scoring three goals, which helped Marinos become the champion.

Speaking about Theerathon, coach Ange Postecoglou said that his team could not be organized properly without the Thai player. Theerathon not only defended well but also showed his talent in attacks.

As a result, both Postecoglou and Marinos officials want Theerathon to stay with the Japanese club. It seems that Thai player also hopes to play in the AFC Champions League next season, but the problem is his current club.

Three years ago, Muangthong United paid 1.2 million dollars for Buriram United to acquire Theerathon, then it will not be a surprise if they demand more than 2 million dollars from Marinos.
