Kawin signs with Consadole Sapporo... to sit on the bench AGAIN?

Unlike Chanathip Songkrasin, the chance for goalkeeper Kawin to gain a regular place in the starting lineup is very small.

Kawin Thamsatchanan, who almost had the chance to play for Manchester United in the past, decided to sign with the J1 League club Consadole Sapporo.

He becomes a teammate with his fellow countryman Chanathip Songkrasin after failing to prove himself at Belgian club OH Leuven. Because of not playing regularly in recent years, Kawin lost his place in the national football team.

He even let people down when he had a chance to play in the starting lineup, making a mistake that made Thailand lose against Vietnam in the 2019 King's Cup.

As a result, he left Europe to save his professional career, and Consadole Sapporo is the next destination. However, things may not be as good as he expected. Unlike Chanathip, the chance for Kawin to play regularly in the J1 League is very small.

At the moment, the number one goalkeeper of Consadole Sapporo is the Gu Sung Yun, who also represents the South Korea team. He is currently the highest-paid player at the club, receiving 60,000,000 JPY a year, twice than that of Chanathip.

In three latest seasons, he missed just 2 matches in J1 League. In other words, choosing Consadole Sapporo maybe not a good choice for Kawin when he rarely has the chance to play unless Gu Sung Yun suffers from injuries.
