Upon being appointed after the resignation of Simon McMenemy, head coach Shin Tae Yong has a hard task of upbringing the whole development of the nation’s football.

The football-loving country will put much pressure on the decorated head coach, as his task will be daunting and difficult right from the beginning. Compared to his colleague – Vietnam head coach Park Hang Seo – his job does not include the U20 and U19 team. He has to focus only on the national players and their next-generation U23.

That rightful amount of work could be the reason behind Park Hang Seo’s success in these recent years with Vietnam football. Indonesia may want to imitate that formula of success, but things might not work out that way.

With less than a month of taking control of the team, Shin Tae Yong needs to clarify his vision and desire for the upcoming tasks. The main competition -  AFF Suzuki Cup – is what the PSSI and the newly-promoted head coach aiming for.
