The second leg of the Indonesia National Cup finals - 2019 Piala Indonesia between Persija Jakarta and PSM Makassar has officially been postponed for safety reasons.

As expected, Indonesia's Piala second leg match 2019 between PSM Makassar and Persija Jakarta would take place on Andi Mattalata on the afternoon of July 28th.

However, a violent incident happened just one day before the match. Specifically, the night before the match, the bus carrying the visitors was attacked by PSM Makassar's aggressive fans after leaving the training ground. Reports said that at least one member of Jakarta Pesija was injured after the attack.

After receiving a report on the incident, the Indonesian Football Federation decided to postpone the match due to safety concerns.

"PSSI decided to postpone the return match for the Indonesia National Cup - Piala Indonesia 2019 between home team PSM Makassar and Persija Jakarta. This match will be held at Andi Mattalatta, Makassar Stadium on Sunday”, Notice of PSSI clearly stated.

“Based on consideration of security and safety, we decided to postpone the return match", PSSI Secretary General Tisha Destria said that he also added that the time and place for the return match will be decided as soon as possible.

In the first leg at the Gelora Bung Karno, Persija Jakarta fire pan has a small advantage when winning 1-0.
