Neymar officially returns to the Brazilian team

The 27-year-old star Neymar will travel with the "Selecao" to the USA in early September 2019.

Neymar and Vinicius Junior, on August 26th, were summoned by coach Tite for two friendly matches against Colombia and Peru, preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier. The two stars injured their ankle and were absent from the 2019 Copa America.

Several pillars like Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Casemiro, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino were also summoned. Important absent positions include Alisson goalkeeper, Fernandinho midfielder and striker Gabriel Jesus. Top scorer Copa America 2019 - Everton - didn't make it this time either because of the Brazil National Cup competition with Gremio.

There are four players hoping to make their debut for Brazil: goalkeeper Ivan, defender Samir, striker Bruno Henrique and Vinicius. In particular, young talent Vinicius is more likely to go to the field.

Brazil will meet Colombia on September 6th, then reunite Peru four days later. Peru is the defeat of Brazil in the 2019 Copa America final.
