Thailand vs Vietnam: Coach Akira Nishino wants to keep secret before the big clash

Coach Akira Nishino requested the Thai Football Federation (FAT) to keep the information related to the Thai football secret until the opening match of Group G in the second round of 2022 FIFA World Cup against Vietnam.

According to the SMM Sport, during the football development committee meeting with FAT, Mr Akira Nishino has made new requests. Specifically, the Japanese strategist suggested FAT to keep secret the information about the list of summoned players, training plans as well as the style and tactical diagrams before the big clash against Vietnam football team.

This request was immediately approved by the leaders of the Thai Football Federation. After the meeting, the FAT Secretary General, Mr. Kornvirakun Nanthakul said: “The way of this job of Nishino coach is very professional so we need to adjust some working processes. In particular, attention should be paid to giving different information of the team to reach fans and the media. It is very likely that we will not provide information to the media to make news”.

The Secretary-General of the Thai Football Federation also explained: "It is the request of Nishino coach and we need to make it to protect the interests of the Thai national team".

After about 10 days of returning to Japan to complete some related procedures, currently coach Akira Nishino flew back to Thailand this morning (August 5th). During his time in his homeland, the Thailand coach also found fellow assistants to join him in preparing for upcoming tournaments and ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
