Thailand ended the match with a 1-1 draw. Veteran Teerasil Dangda scored the opener for "War Elephants" in the 34th minute before being equalized by the Congo with a goal in the 59th minute.

Meanwhile, Theerathon Bunmathan is optimistic about the ability to play in the match on October 15th. He said: "Injury is something that should not have happened. I feel pain and cannot stand up but now I'm better. I want to play against the UAE. This will be an important confrontation with Thailand. Lan and I will try to recover as quickly as possible".

Without the service of Theerathon, it would be a great loss for "War Elephants". The 1990 defender was an indispensable element of the Thai team for many years and was the mainstay of Yokohama F. Marinos at the J.League. Besides, according to SMM Sport, Korrrakot did not leave much impression in the Congo and was rated lower than Theerathon in both offensive and defensive ability.
