Thai League 1 organizers keep the match schedule, making the new coach Akira Nishino not have much time to prepare for the game on September 5th.

Thai League 1 round 26 matches will end on the afternoon of August 25. A day later, the players were summoned by Akira Nishino to meet and prepare for the match against Vietnam in the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Asia. Thus, Thailand will only have about 10 days of concentration. This made it difficult for the new Nishino coach to convey ideas and assemble the lineup according to his philosophy.

"The schedule of the national championship is very close. It's hard to convince the clubs to release players early to join the army," Thai Football Federation Secretary General Kornvirakun Nanthakul said. "I know that in the opening game, Vietnam has more time to prepare than Thailand's 10-day number. Hopefully, clubs can create conditions for new coaches."

In the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Thailand shares the same table with the UAE, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. In the match, "Elephant War" met Park Hang Seo's team, who won 1-0 at the King's Cup in early June 2019.

Thailand and Vietnam are judged to be the two teams competing directly for the next level in Group G, next to the UAE seed team. The team that won the duel between the two teams on September 5th will have many advantages in calculating the winning position in a qualifying round.

After the match with Vietnam, Thailand football will play their second match on Indonesia on September 10th. In the third match, Nishino's team stopped playing. The biggest challenge for Thailand comes in the fourth match, October 15th, when facing UAE at home.
