AFC gets a petition about Thai assistant's offence to Park Hang Seo, heavy punishment to be considered

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has sent a document to the AFC to inform that the assistant coach of the Thai team offended head coach Park Hang Seo.

The Vietnam Football Federation reports in writing to the Asian Football Federation (AFC), requesting to consider the behavior of the assistant coach of the Thai team during the match at My Dinh Stadium on November 19th. A number of Thai coaching staff behaved rudely towards Coach Park Hang Seo when the South Korean tactician shook hands with coach Akira Nishino.

Goalkeeper coach Sasa Todic is the one who provoked Coach Park Hang Seo by pressing his hand downwards, allegedly disdain for the height of the Vietnamese head coach. Another assistant coach of the Thai team also showed an impolite attitude while the remaining members of the two teams' coaching staff tried to discourage.

"After the match, I shook his hand and apologized. I still don't know what happened and will have to review whether we did any improper thing or not", coach Akira Nishino said. The Japanese coach also had conversations with the assistants on the field with an unhappy attitude.

If the AFC takes actions, Mr. Sasa Todic could be punished severely. The Thai Football Association (FAT) also asked the goalkeeper coach to explain his disrespectful behavior.

On social media, Asian supporters heavily criticized Thai coaching staff members. They think that these are disrespectful behaviors, even the hand-down gesture and sarcastic laugh are also disparaging, insulting Park Hang Seo.
