Indonesia calls 5 nationalized footballers to enter the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying round

Indonesia national football team summoned Brazilian and Nigerian players to prepare a series of matches in early September.

Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) today August 15th announced the list of 24 players preparing to qualify for the second qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup - Asia region. Five naturalized players include Victor Igbonefo, Otavio Dutra, Greg Nwokolo, Beto Goncalves and Osas Saha.

Born in 1984, Otavio Dutra, a Brazilian, used to play for the youth team of Corinthians. He went to Indonesia to play football in 2010 and became naturalized. This is the first time this defender has been called into the Indonesian team. Victor Igbonefo is also available to play in the Indonesian defense. This Nigerian-born player was first summoned to the national team of ten thousand islands in October 2011 and attended the 2015 Asian Cup.

On public goods, PSSI called for two highly rated players in the national championships, Beto Goncalves and Osas Saha. Beto Goncalves of Brazilian origin, unveiled in the Indonesian national team shirt at Asiad 2018. The 38-year-old striker has scored eight goals in eight matches for the team.
