DISGRACE!!! UAE key striker Ahmed Khalil faked an injury to avoid national team call-up

News has spread out to the accusation of Ahmed Khalil faking an injury to dodge the newly-promoted head coach Ivan Jovanovic's call-up for the preparation for upcoming World Cup qualifier matches.

According to the UAE’s media, the striker from the club Al-Ahli came up with an excuse to avoid participating in the UAE national team. The news has disrupted the nation, especially since he’s not only a key player, but also an addition to the fact that the team was in poor ethics recently.

Ahmed Khalil is in the UAE “Golden Generation”, the generation in which gained a ticket to participate in the Olympics 2012.

Since returning from a horrific injury that kept him out of sidelines for a year, the striker hasn’t found his best scoring form. But the media has been positive about him, hoped that he and Ali Mabkhout will take them to the final phase of the FIFA World Cup qualification round.

The news of Khalil's absence raised concern over the players’ ethics. Recently, former manager Bert van Marwijk had to send home the young defender Majed Suroor after the loss against Thailand due to poor behavior against the coaching staff.

Khalil has stated on social media, saying that “things are not like the media’s description” and “can’t wait to meet the new coaching staff and the manager Ivan Jovanovic.

“The medical staff has confirmed that I need a rest and there is no opposition to leave the training camp. Being called up is such an honor, and I would never want to avoid it”
