Malaysia football intend to 'shock' at the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification

With the goal of passing the second qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Malaysian football team decided to become a naturalized citizen for two young players from Europe.

After losing to the Vietnamese football team at the AFF Cup final 2018, the Malaysian Football Federation decided to upgrade its national team with naturalized players. FAM expects 'foreign products' to help Malaysia team achieve good results in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.

Ahead of the second qualifying round of WC 2022, FAM Secretary General Stuart Ramalingam said the Malaysian Football Federation is completing procedures for naturalization for two young players from Europe. Bernama revealed a 21-year-old player in Germany, the other 19 is playing in England.

Stuart Ramalingam said: "FAM has contacted and two European players have agreed to take on the Malaysian football team. We sent their profile to the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs. However, there must be certainty about the legality of the records and the players who are related to Malaysia".

FAM Secretary General affirmed that the goal of the Malaysia football team is to pass the second qualifying round of 2022 FIFA World Cup. Therefore, the Malaysian Football Federation is doing everything possible to help their national team get the best preparation for this tournament.

In addition to two players from Europe, the Malaysian Football Federation is also considering filing citizenship for striker Michael Chukwubunna (UKM FC club), Liridon Krasnniqi (Melaka United club) and Brazilian striker Guilherme de Paula (Kuala Lumpur club). These are extremely quality additions to coach Tan Cheng Hoe ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification and 2023 Asian Cup qualification.

At the drawing ceremony of the 2nd FIFA World Cup 2022 in Asia, the Malaysia football team fell into the No. 4 seed group, while the Vietnam football team was in the second group. It is entirely possible that Tan Cheng Hoe and Park Hang Seo's troops are on the same table. The draw will be held on July 17th at AFC headquarters in Malaysia.
