Arsenal vs Man City match cancelled to broadcast on China's CCTV

Instead of broadcasting the live match between Arsenal and Man City, CCTV Sports chose to rerun the Wolves vs Tottenham game.

Initially, China's CCTV Sports scheduled to broadcast the live match between Arsenal and Man City. However, hours before kicking-off time, they suddenly announced to turn it into Wolves vs Tottenham game.

CCTV did not explain why they did that, but it seemed to be related to Mesut Ozil, who recently expressed his view about Turk people's problems in Xinjiang.

In the case of Ozil, although he was named into the starting lineup to play against Man City, he played a terrible match. In 59 minutes playing on the pitch, he did nothing to make Arsenal attack better.

At 31, Ozil's form decreased significantly, even though he was the man who received the highest salary in the club. On the other hand, Arsenal wanted to sell Ozil, but they could not do that at the moment.

There was no club wanting to buy Ozil, a player who lost his form. It is one of the reasons why Arsenal chose to ignore Ozil's article on social networks. They did not want to be involved in anything related to Ozil at present.

With the current situation, Arsenal had to find a possible way to help the team improve the results instead of concentrating on Ozil's problems.
