NO FEAR: Guangzhou Evergrande team members set to arrive to Dubai at the end of the month

Instead of staying in China due to the risks of the coronavirus outbreak, Guangzhou Evergrande players and coaches will train in Dubai.

Initially, the 2020 Chinese Super League season was scheduled to start on 22 February and to end on 31 October.

However, it was postponed following the coronavirus outbreak in China, making clubs wait until the Chinese Football Association (CFA) decides the time to organize domestic football matches.

When it comes to the clubs that compete in AFC Champions League such as Guangzhou Evergrande, they have to travel to play as the away team until games can be held normally in China.

As a result, they are planning to travel abroad to train despite the risks of the coronavirus outbreak. According to the club members, the next destination will be Dubai.

Unlike other countries that refuse to let Chinese people enter, UAE still welcomes them if they agree to take some medical tests.

Guangzhou Evergrande staff believes that good preparation will help help to have more chances to defend the Chinese Super League title.

Moreover, they also aim to win the 2020 AFC Champions League in spite of being eliminated at the semi-finals last year. In the past, they won the AFC Champions League twice, in the 2013 and 2015 events.

However, since 2016, they have not advanced to any final matches again.
