2019 AFF U15: Timor Leste U15 leads group A after defeating Myanmar U15

Vietnam U15 won their first victory in the 2019 AFF U15 championship on Monday after defeating the Philippines U15 3-1 on the Chonburi Campus stadium in Thailand but Timor Leste U15 was the top of Group A after two rounds.

The boys from Vietnam lost 0-2 to defending champion Indonesia on the opening day of the tournament in Group A. However, they returned by winning an easy victory against The Azkals in the second match.

Pham Van Phong opened the score for Vietnam U15 in the 24th minute and Cai Van Quy scored another brace for them in the second half. Harry James Nunez took one back for Filipinos in the final minutes.

Meanwhile, Indonesia U15 had their second consecutive victory in the tournament when they beat Singapore U15 3-0 in another encounter of Group A.

Marselino Ferdinan, Wahyu Agong Drajat Mulyono and Mochamad Faizal Shaifullah have put names on the scoreboard for Indonesia, the team is being led by the Bima Sakti coach and is currently looking for their second Southeast Asian title.

However, it is East Timor U15 who is the top team in Group A after two rounds when they beat Myanmar U15 3-1 on the second day of the tournament.

Timor Leste U15 lowered the Philippines U15 7-1 on the opening day and added three more points in his second trophy. The Alexandro Kefi scored a hat-trick while Lat Wai Phone had a consolation goal for Myanmar U15. This result means Timor Leste has topped the table with six points and goal difference of +8.

Meanwhile, Indonesia U15 ranked second in this group with 6 points, but with a goal difference of +5.
