Coach Kim Hak Bum proved his dissatisfaction with the South Korea U23's performance in the second half in the victory over Jordan U23.

On the afternoon of January 19th, South Korea U23 won against Jordan U23 in the third quarter-finals of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship. Despite dominating the game, Kim Hak Bum's team just could win thanks to Lee Dong Gyeong's high-class free kick in the last minute of injury time.

Speaking after the match, coach Kim Hak Bum said he was happy about the result, not the way his students showed in the second half of this match:

"This is really a very dramatic and difficult match for us. However, my players did not give up. That's what I feel very happy.

However, the performance in the second half of the team made me unhappy. Throughout the tournament, South Korea U23 always lost focus in the second half despite overwhelming opponents in the first half. Despite the better possession, the players were stuck in finding their way into the opponent's goal. This is something we need to improve in the upcoming matches".

Going to the semi-finals, South Korea U23 will face Australia U23. Coach Kim Hak Bum also made assessments about the upcoming opponent: "Before attending the 2020 AFC U23 Championship, South Korea U23 and Australia U23 had a friendly match in Malaysia. Therefore, the two teams are no stranger and understand each other very well. Certainly the upcoming match will be very interesting".

The semi-final between South Korea U23 vs Australia U23 will be taken place at 21:15 (GMT+8) on January 22nd. The winner of this match will qualify for the Tokyo Olympic 2020. Thus, both teams will certainly play with the highest spirit to achieve this goal in the upcoming match.
