After experiencing the defeat of the national team in Southeast Asia, the United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAEFA) has considered rescheduling the flight to Thailand sooner than expected to prepare for 2020 AFC U23 Championship.

However, coach Maciej Skorza disagreed as he expressed his desire for UAEFA to create conditions for UAE U23 team to come to Thailand on December 28th (5 days earlier) to help players have more time to prepare for the tournament. According to the Polish tactician, his proposal was an important factor in UAE U23's goal to win tickets to the 2020 Olympic Games.

Skorza's team will kick off Group D's opening match against Vietnam U23 on January 10th, 2020. This is considered a crucial encounter for the race to the quarterfinals of this group when Jordan U23 & North Korea U23 is also preparing very well for the great ambition of the tournament.
