BRAND NEW!!! Thailand will summon the Premier League young star for 2020 AFC U23 championship

In preparation for the 2020 AFC U23 championship at home, the Thai U23 team will likely recall the talented young midfielder from the Premier League, Benjamin Davis.

In the list of 50 preliminary names preparing for the tournament taking place early January next year, the Football Association of Thailand has decided to enter the name Benjamin Davis.

Benjamin Davis was born in 2000, 1m72 tall, his major position is a central midfielder or defensive midfielder, currently playing for Fulham Club in the EFL Championship, played for Singapore U16 and U19 national team.

Ben Davis has a Thai mother, a British father, born in Phuket (Thailand), his whole family moved to Singapore when he turned 5 years old, and 4 years later Davis was recognized as a Singaporean citizen.

However, the 19-year-old has caused a scandal not long ago when he publicly expressed his desire to play for Thai national teams instead of Singapore.

At the 30th SEA Games, Benjamin Davis also participated in 28 preliminary names but he was not chosen in the final list by coach Akira Nishino.

Even so, the opportunity for him to return to the 2020 AFC U23 championship in the shirt of the Golden Temple team is becoming bigger than ever.

Thai fans are expecting the midfielder's presence to bring a new and more vibrant wind to the central area of Thailand U23, which they are seriously missing.

Under the plan, Thailand U23 players will gather together on December 26th. Then coach Akira Nishino's team will have more than two weeks of training and a friendly match with a Thai League club before entering the tournament.
