PSM Makassar vs Kaya FC match will be held without spectators

Due to preventing the risks of being infected from the coronavirus outbreak, AFC decided to hold the match between PSM Makassar and Kaya FC behind closed doors.

Initially, PSM Makassar will play the third match in the 2020 AFC Cup against the Filipino side Kaya FC with the support from the home crowd. However, things changed because of the coronavirus outbreak in Indonesia.

As a result, the match will be held without spectators when the Indonesian government said it was the only method to hold it.

At the moment, there are 19 people who are infected with coronavirus in Indonesia, which made Indonesian officials ask to stop holding crowd events.

In terms of PSM Makassar, that order may affect their performance in the 2020 AFC Cup when they are sinking in 3rd position at the group stage.

Although they recently beat Shan United in the latest match, it was not enough for the Indonesian side to climb to higher places when they lost the first match against Tampines Rovers.

Meanwhile, Kaya FC is leading at Group H with 4 points gained in 2 games. They have the same point with Tampines Rovers but stand above due to the goal difference.

Thanks to the great performance of foreign players namely defender Carlyle Mitchell and Japanese trio Masanari Omura, Daizo Horikoshi, and Takumi Uesato, they managed to play better after each match.
