Johor Darul Ta'zim honoured as the AFC Cup club of the decade

Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) of the Malaysia Super League champion - Johor Darul Tàzazim (JDT) has been voted the iconic club of the AFC Cup after an online poll organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Johor Darul Ta'zim became the first Southeast Asian club to win the AFC Cup title when they defeated Tajikistan's FC Istiklol 1-0 in the final of the AFC Cup 2015 at Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe.

Iraq's Air Force Club, Kuwait SC and Qadsia SC and Lebanon's Al Ahed FC are also participating in the poll alongside the Malaysian giant.

Johor Darul Tazim honoured as the AFC Cup club of the decade

Air Force Club, also known as Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, won 3 AFC Cup titles in the 2016-2018 period while Kuwait SC won two titles in 2012 and 2013. Qadsia held the title in Kuwait in 2014 while Al Ahed was the latest AFC Cup champion to beat 4.25 SC 1-0 in 2019 final.

The Southern Tigers received 80% of the 80,989 votes recorded in an online poll on the AFC official website, while the Air Force Club ranked second with 12% of the vote. Qadsia took third place in the poll with 6% of the votes while Kuwait SC and Al Ahed had 2% and 1% of the votes respectively.
