Hanoi FC still has the opportunity to attend the AFC Cup 2020 if they accomplish well 1 condition.

Recently, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) gave the reason why Hanoi FC team lost their permission to attend AFC tournaments.

Accordingly, Hanoi FC does not have a team participating in the national U15 tournament, so according to AFC regulations, teachers and coaches Chu Dinh Nghiem are not eligible to attend the AFC Cup and the AFC Champions League preliminary round of 2020. However, according to updated information, the current V-League champion still has the opportunity to attend the AFC Cup 2020. Specifically, in November, AFC will give unlicensed clubs the opportunity to explain. If explaining successfully, Hanoi FC will still be able to attend AFC Cup next year.

Managing Director Nguyen Quoc Tuan of Hanoi FC said: "At the end of October and early November, AFC will allow Hanoi FC to explain this matter. In case Hanoi FC explains with reasonable reasons, AFC will give Hanoi FC to compete in AFC Cup next year.

If it fails, we will have to do well in 2020 to qualify for the 2021 AFC Cup. In this case, the Hanoi FC will attend a tournament in Southeast Asia under the system of Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) and approved by AFC".
