OFFICIAL: Wladimir Klitschko retired boxing, bombed the contract of $96 million

Recently announced to return to boxing, the contract with DAZN is still not clear, recently, Wladimir Klitschko again retired from the ring again.

Not long ago, the former heavy king Wladimir Klitschko became the focus of attention with rumors that he had just signed a contract worth $96 million with DAZN. But recently, Wladimir Klitschko declared: "I feel satisfied with the decision to hang gloves and focus on other careers".

Currently at 43, "Dr Steelhammer" has stopped playing since 2017 after the defeat of Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in the WBA match "super" and IBO.

With a record of 64 victories in 69 matches, Wladimir Klitschko asserted that he was not worried about ending his career with two consecutive defeats, more specifically Klitschko said: "I have never learned many things like so from failure. I have won a lot in my career but what I learned at Wembley is more important than any success I have. I used to think failure was not an option, but today I realized that failing when I tried my best is nothing to be ashamed of".

Wladimir Klitschko used to joke with fans that someday he will return to Boxing. On March 31st last year he joked on Twitter: "When I just woke up and realized I was still bored, please wait for the official announcement". However, it turned out to be just an April Fool's joke of heavy legend. The next day, Wladimir Klitschko tweeted: "I respect and thank everyone for your interest, but I don't come back, happy April".

Wladimir Klitschko's decision to end his 21-year career is not a hasty decision. In fact, the former Ukrainian champion confided that he took more than 100 days of thought to make this decision. "I will now focus on my second career. My battlefield is now another place".

Wladimir Klitschko always understands that the time he can make professional punches is limited. So he prepared for a left-hand career with a doctorate in sports science after officially becoming a professional boxer. Wladimir Klitschko is now a university lecturer, hotel owner and in 2018 opened website.

Until now, Wladimir Klitschko is still the record holder of the world's longest championship belt with a total time of 4,382 days. In 2022, Wladimir Klitschko will be honored at the International Boxing Hall of Fame. "Dr Steelhammer" commented on this: "Honored at IBHOF is my honor".
