NBA transfer: Lonzo Ball's brother close to join Oklahoma City

Lonzo Ball's younger brother, LiAngelo Ball is one step closer to NBA when joining the G-League team of Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lonzo Ball's younger brother LiAngelo Ball has just taken a step closer to NBA by joining Oklahoma City Blue, Oklahoma City Thunder's G-League representative. However, the Ball's second son only participated in the training, not an official Blue player.

LiAngelo Ball attended UCLA University but decided to drop out after participating in a shoplifting incident in an Hangzhou store during a Chinese basketball tour of China. Afterward, he was given a chance to play professionally by his father Lavar in Lithuania.

Playing alongside his youngest brother LaMelo at Vytautas Prienu club, LiAngelo did not leave many impressions, scoring just over 12 points per game in 14 appearances. He joined the Draft 2018 but was not noticed by any team.

This can be considered as the first positive step of LiAngelo Ball towards the NBA. Despite the fact that he was not even on Blue's roster list, the 21-year-old will have a chance to show himself to the NBA scouts.

Certainly, LiAngelo still has to take long steps to reach the caliber of the Ball family's two remaining sons. Elder Lonzo Ball was selected in the second round of Draft 2017 and has the potential to become an All-star player in the future. Meanwhile, the youngest LaMelo is storming the Australian league and is likely to be in the top 3 at the Draft 2020.
