NBA Awards 2019: Luka Doncic outstanding

The hope of dual rookie titles between Luka Doncic and Trae Young of millions of fans has not been made.

During the NBA Awards 2019 event that took place on June 25, all glances returned to the title of Rookie of the Year. This is a hugely competitive competition between European inspiration Luka Doncic and Trae Young's "second Curry".

Being likened to a 5-set tennis match with the young superstar duo fighting each other as the leader, Doncic and Young took turns making fans lose their jaws with impressive performances. Finally, the results of the game were announced this morning. Luka Doncic, Slovenian rookie won the final with 97/100 votes, almost overwhelming Trae Young.

Also worth mentioning in the race to the title of Rookie of the Year is the DeAndre Ayton striker of Phoenix Suns, the player used to be picked in the first round in the NBA Draft 2018. Despite having a good season, Ayton is still just a "background" for Doncic and Trae Young.

Luka Doncic has been flooding the newspaper since the day he was drafted. Initially, the 18-year-old was selected by the Atlanta Hawks. Soon Doncic can trade to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Trae Young with a pick at Draft 2019.

Entering the first match, Luka Doncic exploded with deadly stepback and superior tectonic ability. By the middle of the season, Luka averaged over 20 points - 7 rebounds - 5 assists per game and was voted by many fans for the All-Star squad. However, after being prevented from professional votes, the young talent of the Dallas Mavericks was not chosen.

Giannis Antetokounmpo won the Most valuable player award

Even so, Luka Doncic is always considered the leader of the race to the title of Rookie of the Year, leaving far away from pursuers like Trae Young, DeAndre Ayton or Marvin Bagley.

After the All-Star phase, Luka Doncic was able to handle all of the Dallas Mavericks strikers after the football team went to Dennis Smith Jr, Wesley Matthews and Harrison Barnes. His average index increased to 22 points and reached nearly 10 rebounds and 7 assists per game. However, this is the time when Trae Young began to revive.

Before the holiday season, Trea Young had only 31% 3PT and averaged 16.9 points per game. But from then on, the Atlanta Hawks defender exploded with 24 points and 9 assists in each game. The most prominent in this flowering sequence is the match to 49 points that Trae Young made before Chicago Bulls.

But after all, Luka Doncic is still a better player. Although Doncic saw a downward slump in performance at the end of the season, Doncic still created and scored quite stable. Finally, the best new year trophy has handed the Slovenian young player a worthy way.
