The Spanish women's basketball team continues to dominate continental basketball with the fourth championship in history.

The Spanish women's basketball team won a 86-66 bold victory over the familiar French women's basketball team to win the 2019 Women's EuroBasket championship in Belgrade, Serbia. This is also the fourth time the team crowned the Gaur country after 1993, 2013 and 2017.

In all three previous appearances, the Spanish women basketball team beat France to win the championship. This is also the fourth consecutive silver medal of the Continental team in the women's EuroBasket arena.

Coach and coach Lucas Mondelo also became the one to cut the 28-year time series without any team successfully defending the championship. The last time this happened was in 1991, when the former Soviet Union won the Gold Medal.
